Abstract

Possible relations of theory and empirics in the school subject of Social Sciences have not really been investigated so far. By creating discourse-analytical approaches, the publications of the last 50 years can be analyzed for their configurations of scientific characteristics. The aim is a retrospectively evaluation of the entire discourse and at the same time to visualize possible moments of missing theory. Insofar as in the discourse catching-up effects of neglected theory building can be identified, it seems reasonable henceforth to declare the research field as Social Sciences 2.0.
