Abstract

This article shows why competence-promoting task sets are of particular importance for an interdisciplinary subject area such as Nature, Human Species, Society, with its overarching issues, and how prospective primary school teachers are introduced to an understanding of this relevance during their training at the University of Teacher Education Lucerne. At the centre of this is a grid that serves to classify and discuss competence-oriented tasks against the background of competence-promoting learning processes.
